Education 2.0 Conference Deconstructs This Fraudulent Spam Email:
Although our conference offers some great offers periodically, the red flags in the email above would never be present in a legitimate email from our end.
To start off, make sure you verify the email ID before proceeding. The use of “Education2konf” should be an instant red flag, seeing as to how our legitimate mail would contain, “Education2conf.com” instead. It's the most blatant errors like these that can slip under your nose at times.
Proceeding to the body of the email, our representatives would never suggest you use any “exclusive portals” operated by third parties before informing you of their authenticity (Managers associated with the conference get in touch occasionally with special offers for our special attendees). The Education 2.0 Conference would also never close off by asking you to pay first without walking you through the conference’s offerings.
